The Importance Of Writing

Writing is an escape. When things get too routine or stressful, writing offers an opportunity to change things up. There are so many outlets:

Make a blog! Create a short story! Write a novel!

I suppose it's easier said than done but once you get started, you already feel as though you have accomplished something. You have. You are creating something into existence; something that was not alive before!

Sometimes ideas can be difficult to fully formulate, but you won't know what it can turn into if you don't try to make it work. It is always interesting to see where an idea will go.

Sometimes ideas work in your favour as it takes shape and comes together naturally. However, there are times where we struggle to make a concept flow. That's okay. Keep going or change the idea as you develop it. You have to make it work for you, so adjust how you view your work accordingly.

Set realistic goals for yourself.

If you can only devote a half hour everyday to write or 2 hours every three days, that can improve your thinking and imagination. You are encouraged to think-outside-the-box and define your own authenticity. Your style. Don't commit to writing a blog everyday if you don't have the time for it.

Writing opens the imagination. It forces you to think instead of watching something pre-made on TV. TV is temporary entertainment where writing is life-long. You can write as long as you want, about whatever you want, and starring who you want. It's freeing.
